You have made the best selection of a rifle, found just the right ammunition to fill the chamber. Your ready to head out into the fields and woods. Or are you? Wait, all that time and effort needs to be crowned with one final item to ensure an accurate shot. It's time to find the right scope to get the job done. With that in mind, I have reviewed the 5 top rated rifle scopes for your hunting season.

Eliminator

The 5 Top Rated Rifle Scopes

1. Burris Eliminator- This is where technology meets practicality. The Eliminator combines a 800 yard range finder with a rifle scope. This scope is so smart it determines the trajectory of just about any round. How can it do this? The Eliminator includes an internal computer which contains information on almost 600 factory loaded cartridges and the ballistics curve of each. Beside the fact that the Eliminator removes the need for a separate range finder, it also allows for you to gain those precious seconds and limit your movements when you get ready to squeeze the trigger.

2. Redfield Revolution Line- With this recommendation, you get four choices of rifles scopes, not just one. The Redfield line of optics was defunct until it's parent company, optics giant, Leupold & Stevens set out to bring it back into the hunting arena with authority. The Revolution line sports four models; 2-7x33mm, 3-9x40mm, 3-9x50mm and 4-12x40mm. Each choice has a black matte finish and either a 4-Plex or Accu-Range reticle. The Accu-Range can hold points out to 500 yards. Each scope comes with a lifetime warranty and the Rapid Target Acquisition lockable eyepiece. This feature alone allows you to quickly acquire your target providing better accuracy.

3. Schmidt & Bender Summit 2.5-10x40mm- This new design by Schmidt & Bender is their first scope to be built on a one inch tube. The 40mm lens allows for a compact, low profile scope which can still boast good light transmission. The Summit can be mounted on a magnum or large caliber rifle and is extremely light, weighing in at 16.8 ounces.

4. Trijicon AccuPoint TR22-1- This powerfully built scope from Trijicon offers magnification from 2.5x to 10x range. However, according to optic giant Trijicon's website, that isn't even the best part of this scope. Trijicon boasts on its website that the AccuPoint TR 22-1 is the "largest and most powerful Trijicon rifle scope on the market." The TR 22-1 has a huge 56mm objective, 30mm tube and the highest quality glass which allows for astonishing light gathering capability. Fiber optics and a tritium light provide a intense aiming point in the center of a duplex crosshair.

5. TruGlo Tru-Brite Xtreme 4x32- Though the Xtreme 4x32's original purpose was tactical use, this black matte scope built with aircraft grade aluminum and sporting a four inch eye relief is truly useful for the strategic hunter. The Xtreme 4x32 is Nitrogen filled which boosts its waterproof and fogproof capabilities.

Any of these scopes would make an amazing addition to your new, or not so new rifle. Gear up with the right scope, it could make your entire hunting season.

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Betta fish make fun and beautiful pets, but more than likely your betta fish is going to get sick at some point in time. It is important that you are prepared to treat your betta when he is sick and this includes being aware of various diseases that affect betta fish, their symptoms, and how you can treat them. Once you know the basics of betta fish diseases you will be better prepared to recognize and treat your betta to prevent the disease becoming too serious or even fatal. The following are five of the most common diseases that affect betta fish.

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Tail or Fin Rot

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Tail rot and fin rot are common betta diseases that are caused by water that becomes too dirty. You can actually prevent this disease from ever affecting your fish if you are careful to always keep their water clean. As a general rule this is an easy condition to treat and it does not seem to be contagious either. If you treat your fish as soon as possible you will be able to stop the progression of the disease and their tails and fins will grow back.

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Some of the symptoms to look for include the betta's tail and fins getting shorter and shorter. Their fins may also start to have a darker color and they may appear as if they are dissolving or actually falling apart. While some betta's may not even act sick, others may stop eating, get clumped fins, and start looking pale.

Thankfully treating tail and fin rot is fairly easy and will provide results in a few weeks. For treatment you will need to do a full jar water change and use Fungus Eliminator, as well as either tetracycline or Triple Sulfa. After the initial change you will need to be sure to change the water every three days and when you do you should add more medication to the water as well. It is important that you continue the treatment until you fish improves and you seen new fin and tail growth occurring. This may take a few weeks, so continue the treatment until your fish improve.

Ick

Another very common disease in betta fish is ick. Ick is actually a type of parasite and many times it is present in frozen food that is live. Although ick is one of the most contagious betta diseases, it can be treated. You can prevent your fish from getting ick by adding Aquarisol and salt to your fish's water.

If you start to see white dots appearing on your betta's body, including the head and even his eyes, this is a sign that your fish has ick. More than likely your beta will also become much less active than before and may appear sick and have clumped fins as well. They may feel itchy, so you may see them darting and rubbing against rocks in their tanks.

Since ick is such a contagious disease it is best to go ahead and treat the entire tank of fish for disease. Ick is very sensitive to temperature, so you should raise the temperature in your tank to about 85 degrees F. For every gallon in your tank, add one drop of Aquarisol every single day until your fish are better. Usually it will only take a few days to get rid of this disease.

Dropsy

Dropsy is actually the most common disease among bettas and it is also the most likely to be fatal to your fish as well. While not a great deal is known about this disease many feel that it is linked to live foods, and it especially seems linked to feeding them the black worms. Many people have found that they can prevent dropsy all together by not allowing their fish to eat black worms.

The symptoms of dropsy are quite easy to recognize and they include a bloated belly and scales that appear as if they are raised. The raised scales may actually appear very similar to a pine cone.

Unfortunately there is not a known cure for this betta fish disease. It is, however, very important that you isolate the betta that appears to have dropsy as soon as possible so the other fish will not contract the disease.

Swim Bladder Disorder

Another very common disease that betta's may get is swim bladder disorder. This actually comes as a result from feeding them too much. This disease is not contagious, and as a general rule it affects the younger bettas if they have eaten to much or have become very stressed.

If you see a betta that is having a hard time swimming, seems off balance, or prefers to just lay near the bottom, there is a good chance they are suffering from swim bladder disorder. Many times you will see them just sliding along on the bottom of the tank as well.

Many times you will find that your betta will recover by himself, but it is probably a good idea to not feed them as much for a few days. It is also helpful to eliminate brine shrimp from their diet as well, as this can actually cause part of the problem. In the future, try to be sure that you feed your fish a balanced diet to prevent this from happening again.

These are just a few of the common betta fish diseases that you my deal with in your bettas. Other diseases that bettas may have to deal with include external parasites, bacterial infection, fungal infection, depression, and velvet. Having medications on hand such as tetracyclin, Ampicillin, jungle fungus eliminator, and maracin 1 and 2. Just taking some simple preventive measures can help keep your fish from developing many of these diseases, but it important to know what to do if these diseases occur in your fish.

Removing Porn - How to Remove Porn From Your Computer Before Someone Else Finds It

It doesn't matter how it got there in the first place, but now unwanted porn has just got to go. And fast!

Removing Porn - How to Remove Porn From Your Computer Before Someone Else Finds It

Removing porn from a computer is not an easy task even for a computer pro. You really need to use specialized software for this. Here's why.

Deleted Porn Files Remain On Your Computer

Even if you try to delete porn files one by one by hand, the original files still remain on your computer since deleting files doesn't actually remove the files themselves. You may not see them listed, but they are still there and could easily be recovered by just about anyone. Deleting files only creates free space on your drive but doesn't actually erase the files you delete so it's not a secure way to remove porn files from your computer.

Traces Of The Porn Files That Have Been Viewed Or Downloaded Remain On Your Computer

There may be traces and even full copies of the porn files that have been viewed on or downloaded to your computer. So even if you delete the porn files you are aware of, other copies or traces of the same files may still be hiding elsewhere on your computer just waiting to be discovered. And there are a lot of places these traces can hide and it's nearly impossible to root them all out by hand.

Also, many programs keep a record of the files, including any pornography related files that have been viewed on your computer. So the program someone used to view dirty pictures or watch adult videos on your computer may still be storing an incriminating record of this porn viewing history on your computer.

Removing Porn From Your Computer Is Nearly Impossible To Do By Hand

These are just a few reasons why removing porn from your computer is nearly impossible to do by hand. The only real solution as to how to remove porn from your computer is to use computer privacy software that is especially suited for this task. Software that not only deletes files but erases them permanently. This type of software may cost a few bucks but it's worth it for the peace of mind knowing that unwanted porn files are gone for good.

A Matter of Time - Drag Racing Elapsed and Reaction Times Explained

A Matter of Time - Drag Racing Elapsed and Reaction Times Explained

Perhaps among the most taken for granted piece of the drag strip is something intangible, always fleeting, and something we drag racers try to keep to an absolute minimum: time. Time is a drag racers best friend and enemy. A split-second is close to an eternity as races are frequently won and lost by mere ten-thousandths of a second.

A Matter of Time - Drag Racing Elapsed and Reaction Times Explained

A Matter of Time - Drag Racing Elapsed and Reaction Times Explained

A Matter of Time - Drag Racing Elapsed and Reaction Times Explained

Methods for generating lap-times have evolved over the course of organized drag racing's 60-year life. Perhaps the most ground breaking innovation in timing advancements came from early drag racing organizer C.J. Hart in 1950. Hart fashioned a timing system comprised of two photo cells that would record a racers top speed. Long before the construction of elaborate, purpose built timing towers, Hart's timing system was operated from an out of commission hearse stationed near the finish line. Just outside the hearse, Hart would post on a score board the top speeds of the meet and the names of those fast drivers. The introduction of this timing system actually preceded the formal establishment of quarter mile racing, as meets at the time were generally contested at roughly three-tenths of a mile.

Today, this technology translates into the bright orange cubes we see strategically placed between the two lanes over the distance of the quarter-mile. These "timing cones" are actually photo cells, similar to what C.J. Hart introduced in 1950. The timing system has become further sophisticated, now recording incremental times, total elapsed times, and average miles per hour. Times are now recorded at 60', 330', 660' (1/8-mile, half track), 1,000', and 1,320'(1/4-mile, finish line). Average mile per hour is also calculated at the 1/8-mile and ¼-mile marks on the drag strip.

A modern day, sophisticated timing system is capable of measuring ETs as precise as one-millionth (0.000001) of a second. However, all of the ultra fancy high-tech fiber-optic and digital technology in the world is useless if the driver can't make sense of the data generated. Aside from the elapsed times determining the outcome of the race, the precise numbers found on your time slip are highly beneficial in helping improve your driving skills.

There is no better place to begin this discussion than the starting line. A common misconception of newcomers is that the ET (elapsed time) clock begins when the green starting line bulb is lit. This is a false misunderstanding. In fact, there are two separate time recordings taken on the race track: reaction time and elapse time. The reaction time is the time elapsed from the flash of the green bulb to the motion of the vehicle as it completely leaves the starting line beam. If that seemed a bit too much, let me refresh your memory and elaborate further.

Recall, timing sensors are triggered by the disruption of a photocell. Lining the drag strip at strategic locations are photocells that project an invisible beam that contacts a reflector (the orange cube) on the center line. The disturbed beam triggers the timing system. The stage light (second set of yellow incandescent bulbs just above the first amber LED bulb) on the Christmas tree tells the starter and fellow competitor that you are prepared and committed to running the race. The stage light is activated by the starting line beam. The time that passes between the green bulb lighting and the front tire of the race car exiting the stage beam accounts for the driver's reaction time. A perfect reaction on a typical five-tenths (0.500) of a second full-tree (three amber bulbs countdown sequentially in half (0.500) second intervals) is 0.500 seconds, or more simply converted today as 0.000 seconds.

The Christmas tree has had a number of facelifts during its nearly 50-year long stint as the standard method of starting competition drag races. Throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, a flagman standing between the two race cars would signal when the drivers were to launch off the starting line. The obvious dangers and subjectivity of using a flagman contributed to design and implementation of the Christmas tree. The Christmas tree made its formal debut at the 1963 NHRA Nationals. The Christmas tree originally consisted of five-amber bulbs but was reduced to it's now standard three-amber bulbs in the mid-1980s. In 2003, the NHRA introduced LED bulbs, replacing the once standard incandescent amber bulbs.

Two basic Christmas tree designations exist: pro tree and full tree.

The pro tree is used primarily in heads-up categories (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Modified, Pro Stock Bike, Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car, and Super Comp/Gas/Street). With the pro tree, all three-amber lights illuminated instantly.

The full tree is primarily used for bracket-style dial-in races, when a staggered tree is necessary to accommodate vehicles of sometimes vastly different ETs. Such categories using a full tree include Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and Junior Dragster. With the full tree, each amber bulb illuminates sequentially, typically 0.500-seconds.

Yes, there are exceptions to these general rules of thumb. For instance, the majority of pro tree races are contested on a 0.400-second tree, where 0.400-seconds separate the yellow amber bulbs and the green bulb. The Super Street (10.90 heads-up) category, however, is an exception as they use a 0.500-second tree.

Regardless of 0.400- or 0.500-second trees, the driver's time slip will read perfect as a standardized 0.000-second. To demonstrate, what was once a 0.500-second perfect reaction time would now be a 0.000-second perfect reaction time. The same goes for 0.400-second perfect reaction times. Thus, any deviation from a perfect 0.000-second reaction time will be recorded as a -/+ 0.000-second.

Plastic Forming - Vacuum Forming Guide

Plastic Forming - Vacuum Forming Guide

What is vacuum forming? What does it do? What are the methods used in forming vacuums? Vacuum forming is basically the procedure used in shaping any kind of plastic. The shaping of unusual shapes like dishes, boxes and others is called Vacuum forming process. The simplest explanation to its method is by placing the mould into an oven, heated for it to take shape and cooled within a significant amount of time. The advantages of using vacuum forming as a method is limitless and effective. Majority of the vacuum forming products are affordable, since not many produce vacuum forming products. The moulds could be made of low-costing materials and the process of the vacuum forming could be possibly faster than any forming process.

Plastic Forming - Vacuum Forming Guide

Plastic Forming - Vacuum Forming Guide

- The most common product made using vacuum forming is a simple plastic toy

- All of the process used includes three important stages. Heating, shaping and cooling.

- There are factors that would be vital in the process selection of the vacuum forming.

- Quantities of the product

- Material of the product

- Shape and details of the product

- Final product's shape and size

1. Clamping process

The clamp or the fastener gives security to the materials being processed. By using this vacuum forming method, you could process even the thickest materials. It is important that the frame of the clamps is strong for the materials not to move during the whole vacuum forming process.

2. Heating process

This vacuum forming method makes use of infra-red heaters and aluminum plates. Although this kind of process is usually handles by larger machines, it could former thicker plastics rapidly. The heaters are located both above the aluminum plates and below it, to produce quality outcomes.

3. Bubble

When the plastic material is inside the machine and it has reached the temperature needed for it to form, this method pre-stretches the plastic to give a smoother outcome product. The bubble method is important because it could assure that unusual shaping materials with extraordinary angles could be reached by the heat.

4. Sheet level

This method involves an electric beam inside the machine that inspects the plastic material and the bottom heater. This method is used when the plastic starts to sag. When the plastic sags, the beam would automatically break down and a quantity of air would enter the machine causing the sagginess to stop.

6. Vacuum

This vacuum forming method pre-stretches the plastic material. The vacuum serves as assistance in the forming of quality sheets. There are two vital parts in a vacuum - the vacuum tank and the vacuum pump. These two parts enable the machine to rapidly mold the hot sheets.

Once the materials have been shaped and formed, a cooling procedure is done before releasing the plastic.

- Cooling is important because when the materials are released, the molds would become deformed and would cause a rejected outcome

- High speed fans are made use to fasten the cooling process. There is also an option in using s spray mist which is directed into the product sheet

- When cooled, it is inserted again into the machine to perform a reverse pressure method that strips excess product from the mould

7. Finishing Up

There are several trimming methods that could be used in vacuum forming. These methods would depend on the size of the part, production number needed, the kind of trimming, and the material's thickness. The finishing of the product or the post-forming processes depends upon the materials processed in the vacuum forming method. Some finishing includes designing, printing of decorations, strengthening of the product and construction. Although there are many kinds of method used in forming plastics, you could always make use of the easiest method - vacuum forming. Anybody could do it. With just the right tools and these friendly procedures, you could make your own toy in a jiffy.

How to Deal With the Smell of Dead Mice

How to Deal With the Smell of Dead Mice

So you're one of those unfortunate few whose humble abode has been affected by the smell of dead mice. It's a hideous smell that seems like it will never go away. How could something so horrible ever fade away as a distant memory?  You might even be thinking of moving to a hotel!!  I can't say that I blame you, but there is hope.

How to Deal With the Smell of Dead Mice

How to Deal With the Smell of Dead Mice

How to Deal With the Smell of Dead Mice

How to Deal With the Smell of Dead Mice

How to Deal With the Smell of Dead Mice

I'm sure you've tried everything under the son to get rid of the stench. How many candles have you lit?  Where's the potpourri?  If that's your idea of dealing with the smell, it's not going to work.  This will merely mask it, and I'm guessing if you're reading this... It probably didn't work so well.

How do you deal with this problem? This may seem obvious, but you have to get rid of the dead mouse. I'm not saying that to be funny either.  As long as there is decay, it will stink.  Easy as that. Even after handling the dead mouse, you may still be left with a smell because your furniture, carpet, walls, whatever absorbed the pungent odor.  Don't buy something to mask the smell, eliminate it.

What happens if you can't find the dead mouse?  Hate to say it, but you're going to have to outlast it.  When the mouse is completely dried out, the stench will eventually fade.  Depending on the rate of decay though, this can take weeks, maybe even months.  Again, don't try to mask the smell.  Get an odor eliminator.  What sets the two apart is that an odor eliminator will bond with the smell and neutralize it before it reaches your nose, whereas a perfume simply mixes with the odor... at that point who knows which is worse?  Dying mouse or dying mouse with ridiculously over done perfume?

In conclusion, it's two simple steps.  Remove the source.  Eliminate (not mask) the odor.

Trion Mini Mist Eliminator Protects Employees and Equipment

Trion Mini Mist Eliminator Protects Employees and Equipment

Trion, a division of Fedders Corporation, has developed an innovative mist collector called the Mini Mist Eliminator (Mini M.E.). Virtually all screw machines, CNC machines, surface and centerless grinders use water-soluble, synthetic and petroleum coolants to protect cutting tools and parts. The mists associated with these coolants can be harmful to the health of the machine operator through inhalation and contact with the skin and eyes. Based on potential health risks, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has established recommended exposure limits for oil mist.

Trion Mini Mist Eliminator Protects Employees and Equipment

Trion Mini Mist Eliminator Protects Employees and Equipment

The Mini M.E. removes oil mist from the air by utilizing the principle of electrostatic precipitation. This principle involves drawing the oil mist through an impinger which removes a majority of the mist, especially large droplets. The remaining mist is drawn through an ionizing section, charging the remaining mist particles which then pass through oppositely charged collector plates. The charged mist particles are attracted to the collector plates like a magnet. These particles then drip back down to be recaptured or drained away. The dirty collector plates can be simply washed clean, eliminating costly filter replacements.

The Mini M.E. also eliminates the need for extensive duct work because it can be easily mounted on the machine, platform or ceiling. This also helps to free up floor space. The Mini M.E. can help save on energy costs by being wired directly to the machine tool control, operating only when the machine tool does. It also helps to reduce maintenance costs by protecting equipment from oil mist.

This quality unit not only traps and removes the oil mist, but also the smoke associated with cutting tools and grinders. The Mini M.E. cleans and recirculates indoor air with up to 95% efficiency rate on 0.3 micron particles. It also offers a great advantage in that it can be seamlessly integrated into pre-existing machine tool systems.

Trion is one of the most trusted names in air purification systems. Trion has produced high quality products for industrial, commercial, military and residential markets since 1947.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Express SYE Slip Yoke Eliminator Installation

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Express SYE Slip Yoke Eliminator Installation

It's now common knowledge that Wrangler owners like to have fun and what's more fun than a bigger Jeep? Not much!

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Express SYE Slip Yoke Eliminator Installation

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Express SYE Slip Yoke Eliminator Installation

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Express SYE Slip Yoke Eliminator Installation

The problem Wrangler owners face when lifting their Jeep is that short rear driveline. Any type of suspension lift that exceeds 3.5 "is likely to cause driveline vibrations. Aside from lowering the transfer case (which also lowers ground clearance), the easiest way to eliminate driveline vibrations is to get rid of the short, slip-yoke type driveline and replace it with a longer, CV type. The only way to do that is to replace or modify your existing transfer case.

Replacing the transfer case can cost upwards of a couple thousand dollars. Unfortunately, most of you (like me) probably don't have that kind of money available to spend on a transfer case swaps. That leaves us the option of modifying the existing transfer case by removing the tailcone output section and shortening it by about 3 ". Doing this will allow you to install a drive shaft that is about 3 "longer" which, in itself, will alleviate driveline angles, but better yet, it will allow you to switch to a HP type drivehsaft which better at handling sharp angles than its slip-yoke counterpart.

Installing a Rubicon Express slip yoke eliminator takes about two hours and requires the following tools.

Basic mechanics wrenches/sockets Circular saw/grinder with a metal cutting blade (a Sawzall will not work) Center punch Hammer Electric drill Tap handle-for the 3/8 "tap.
Do not use a wrench to turn the tap.
A wrench does not allow you to put equal force onboth sides of the tap like a handle does and therefore you can easily break it off inside the shaft. 1/8 "and 5/16" drill bit 3/8 "and 5/16" Allen wrenches Cutting oil RTV silicone sealer Loctite

The advantages of using this particular kit are simple: it's cheap ($ 199 USD), easy to install (done while the transfer case is in the vehicle), improves your lifted vehicle's rear driveline angle, and allows a lowered transfer case to be put back into its stock location.

Remove the rear drive shaft from the vehicle. On the rear axle, this is done by removing four 1/4 "bolts and two steel retaining straps from the differential output yokes. At the transfer case, simply pull the drive shaft out of the slip yoke. Some oil may spill from the transfer case when the shaft isremoved but not a lot. Remove the tailcone section from the transfer case. The tailcone is held to the transfer case by three bolts. Remove them and tailcone should pop/slide off the case/shaft. If not, lightly tap it on the sides with a hammer to nudge it free from the houses. The only thing holding it in place at this time is silicone sealant. Seal the output shaft bearing surface to avoid contact with debris.Rubicon Express suggested the use of duct tape, however other items such as Reynold's saran wrap will work. Be sure to use a liberal amount so no debris can get into the output bearing when you cut the shaft off. Measure and mark the shaft so that 1 "of splined shaft will remain.Remember the rule, "Measure twice. Cut once. " It may be wise to mark a littlemore than 1 "of shaft because too long is better than too short. If you cut the shaft too long, it can be shortened. If you cut the shaft too short, you'll need a new one. You will need a circular saw with a metal cutting/carbide blade. A sawzall will NOT work. A 4.5 "hand grinder is ideal for this because it's small enough to fit in the confined area you'll be working in. When using a grinder, make sure you cut slowly and no more than 30-60 seconds at a time. This will prevent the shaft from getting overheated and warping. After you've cut through the shaft, if it isn't square at the end, grind it down to make it square. Center punch the end of the shaft. This will ensure the drill bit starts in the center of the shaft when drilling the pilot hole. To make finding the center ofthe shaft easier, place the CV Output Flange over the cut-off shaft. This reduces the visible surface area from about 1.25 "diameter to 0.5" diameter allowing you to find the center of the shaft easier. Be sure to hit the centerpunch hard enough to put a dent in the end of the shaft deep enough for a 1/8 "drill bit to sit in. Drill the pilot hole in the end of the shaft. This is done with a 1/8 "drill bits. This step is easiest done with the vehicle raised 6 "on jack stands and the transfer case lowered 2". With the vehicle being as high as possible, you'll be able to sit under it and gauge the direction of the drill. The pilot hole needs to be drilled into the shaft as straight as possible so take your time. The pilot hole needs to be 1 "-1.25" deep. After that is done, you needto bore out the 1/8 pilot hole with a 5/16 "drill bit. To be on the safe side, you may want to use a 3/16 "bit before going to the 5/16" bit. This makes it a little easier to drill a straight hole. Make sure the final depth of the pilot hole is 1.25 ". Use a 3/8 " -24 tap to cut threads into the 5/16" pilot hole.Use cutting oil (or WD40) and keep the tap threads clean. CAUTION: If you have never used to tap before, then tapping the pilot hole is not the time to learn! For best results you should read up on how to correctly do this and then practice on another piece of steel. The proper way to tap a hole is one full turn forward (clockwise) and one-half turn back (counter-clockwise), but since the shaft is made of hardened steel, tap it in one-half turn forward increments. Bettersafe than sorry at this point. Install the Oil seal in the Bearing/Seal flanges. You will need to press, vice, or similar tool to do this. The oil seal needs to be pressed straight in or damage will occur. Afters the Oil Seal is pressed into the Bearing/Seal flanges, turn it over and run a bead of RTV Silicone along a circumference just inside the three bolt holes. The bead should be about 3/16 ". Allow about 10-20 minutes for the silicone to "skin" over before installing it. Take this time to lube up the rubber part of the seal where it will make contact with the CV Output flanges. Wiping transfer case oil on it with your finger will be adequate. Make sure to put oil all around the black rubber part of the seal. This is to reduce friction otherwise the seal will melt and tear withinthe first mile of driving. Install the Bearing/Seal flanges.Remove the duct tape, saran wrap, or whatever you used to protect the transfer case output bearing (in step 3) from the transfer case output shaft. Clean the surface near the bearing making sure there is no residue leftover from when the tailcone was removed. Use three grade 8 M10 x 25 mm bolts to install the Bearing/Seal Flanges onto the transfer case. Apply Loctite to the bolts before inserting them. Now would be a good time to apply RTV silicone to the remaining splines of the output shaft. This is to prevent oil from leaking through the CV Output Flanges once it's installed. Install the CV Output flanges.Slide the CV Output Flange over the output shaft splines and through the oil seal. Take care not to damagethe seal. You may need to use a hammer to lightly tap the CV Output Flange down the shaft. Use a 3/8 "bolt and washer to bolt the CV Output Flanges to the output shaft. Use loctite to hold the bolt in place.

Congratulations! You no longer need to worry about your Jeep vibrating due to your 3 "suspension lift.

Evidence Eliminator Software-Does it Really Wipe Clean Your Internet History?

There are many Evidence Eliminator software products that claim they can permanently erase all windows history from your PC. The question is, do they really work? The good news is that they really do work. However, the bad news is that although most all applications can thoroughly wipe your hard drive clean, most do not clean as many popular application files as they should. Files related to AOL, Skype, MSN, Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Media Player, etc, may or may not be covered depending on the Evidence Eliminator software you chose. When trying out any Evidence Eliminator Software (also known as Privacy Control software), here are a few things to look for:

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Betta fish make fun and beautiful pets, but more than likely your betta fish is going to get sick at some point in time. It is important that you are prepared to treat your betta when he is sick and this includes being aware of various diseases that affect betta fish, their symptoms, and how you can treat them. Once you know the basics of betta fish diseases you will be better prepared to recognize and treat your betta to prevent the disease becoming too serious or even fatal. The following are five of the most common diseases that affect betta fish.

Beware of These Common Betta Fish Illnesses

Tail or Fin Rot

Tail and fin rot rot are common betta diseases that are caused by water that becomes too dirty. You can actually prevent this disease from ever affecting your fish if you are careful to always keeptheir water clean. As a general rule, this is an easy condition to treat and it does not seem to be contagious either. If you treat your fish as soon as possible you will be able to stop the progression of the disease and their tails and fins will grow back.

Some of the symptoms to look for include the betta's tail and fins getting shorter and shorter. Their fins may also start to have a darker color and they may appear as if they are actually falling apart or dissolving. While some betta's may not even act sick, others may stop eating, get clumped fins, and start looking pale.

Thankfully treating tail and fin rot is fairly easy and will provide results in a few weeks. For treatment you will need to do a full jar water change and use Fungus Eliminator, as well as eithertetracycline or Triple Wigm.

You can prevent your fish from getting ick Aquarisol and by adding salt to your fish's water.

If you start to see white dots appearing on your betta's body, including the head and even his eyes, this is a sign that your fish has ick. More than likely your beta will also become much less active than before and may appear sick and have clumped fins as well. They may feel itchy, so you may see them darting out and rubbing against rocks in their tanks.

Dropsy

Dropsy is actually the most common disease among bettas and it is also the most likely tobe fatal to your fish as well.

Unfortunately there is not a known betta fish care for this disease. It is, however, very important that you isolate the betta that appears to have dropsy as soon as possible so the other fish will not contract the disease.

Swim Bladder Disorder

Another very commondisease that may get betta's swim bladder disorder is.

In thefuture, try to be sure that you feed your fish a balanced diet to prevent this from happening again.

These are just a few of the common betta fish diseases that you deal with in your my bettas. Other diseases that bettas may have to deal with include external parasites, bacterial infection, fungal infection, depression, and velvet. Having medications on hand such as tetracycline, Ampicillin, jungle fungus eliminator, and maracin 1 and 2. Just taking some simple preventive measures can help keep your fish from developing many of these diseases, but it important to know what to do if these diseases occur in your fish.

How to Choose the Best Wireless Intercom System For Your Home Or Business

How to Choose the Best Wireless Intercom System For Your Home Or Business

When deciding to add a new wireless intercom system to the ever increasing portfolio of wireless devices in your home or business, you need to first think about the compatibility with the products you already have (or your close neighbors have). You also need to consider the range and features you need.

How to Choose the Best Wireless Intercom System For Your Home Or Business

How to Choose the Best Wireless Intercom System For Your Home Or Business

Wireless Intercom Frequencies

In the United States there are several frequency ranges for wireless products for unlicensed consumer use. They are 49MHz, 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, and Family Radio Service (FRS) band. Most recently the FCC added the multi-use Radio service (MURS). Radio frequencies for devices are similar in Canada, but cannot be used there MURS.

Back when consumer wireless products were first introduced, these wireless products used the 49MHzfrequency spectrum. Early cordless telephones used this spectrum and it is still used by cheap baby monitors and other low-end wireless units. It has a short range and is prone to lots of interference. You won't likely find wireless intercom systems that use this spectrum anymore, or if you do, you won't want them.

Later, 900 MHz products using analog transmission technology arrived on the market. Neither the early 900 MHz 49MHz or these products have any form of security. Anyone with a device in the same frequency can listen in to conversations. Newer 900 MHz digital spread spectrum digital transmission products divided across a range of frequencies so other devices can't eavesdrop on your conversations. Digital spread spectrum intercoms also have a greater range than the analog900 MHz units. There are at least two wireless intercoms currently on the market, but only one of them uses digital spread spectrum. The wireless intercom system that uses spread spectrum can communicate up to 1000 feet.

2.4 GHz devices were next to market. There are a growing number of cordless telephones and other devices in this range. As far As intercom systems, video intercom systems are the primary users of this range although the only wireless video intercom on the market was recently discontinued. 2.4 GHz is also the frequency range used by WiFi wireless data networks (802.11 B/G) in homes and businesses know products in this range can interfere with each other.

The Family Radio Service (462-467MHz) is in the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band and is basically an improvement tothe old walkie talkies of long ago. These handheld radios are sold everywhere and used heavily so any intercom systems in this range would have to compete with these handheld radios (and anyone can listen in to your conversations). There are no known wireless intercoms systems that use FRS.

5.8 GHz products are Now starting to make their appearance in the cordless phone arena. No compatibility issues exist between 5.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz devices so no problems should be experienced in mixing them. However, there are currently no known wireless intercom systems in this range.

You'll also see some intercom systems that claim to be wireless but they really use the power wiring in your home or business to send and receive transmissions from the intercom. These are frequently called "FMwireless intercoms "even though they often transmit over your house wiring in the AM band. To use them, you just plug an AC adapter into the wall. These systems are very prone to humming or buzzing and are not recommended unless you are prepared to live with this possibility. Since house wiring comes in as 240 volts and is split into two phases of 120, you'll also experience problems with the signal trying to cross the phases. One part of your house or business may work fine, where the other half doesn't. These intercoms are typically the least expensive of the bunch intercoms.

Long Range Wireless Intercoms

The most recent addition to the wireless intercom products in the market are MURS frequency range. MURS is a service in the VHF (Very High Frequency) 150 MHz radiospectrum. MURS has a power increase of four times that of FRS radios. And unlike FRS, you can add a larger or external antenna to improve range. If you want to put an antenna on top of your house, you can do it with MURS. Some antenna manufacturers claim an external antenna can increase the effective radiated power of a transmitter by a factor of 4. These MURS intercoms can transmit up to four miles, and perhaps more with an external antenna.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States does not require you obtain a license to use MURS frequencies so you will not have to go through that process.

There are 5 MURS channels and 38 interference eliminator or "quiet codes" that can be used on each of these channels. These quiet codes keep your radiosquiet unless another radio is programmed on the same channel and quiet code. Chances are you won't have to worry about these codes since MURS usage is extremely light. There are only a few makers of MURS radios, so traffic on these frequencies is hard to find in most areas.

The MURS Intercom system is the wireless intercom you need if you have a large property or you need to talk between buildings. You can use a MURS to not only communicate within a home, but to neighboring homes as well. You can even add a handheld unit to your MURS intercom system so you can stay in touch away from your home.

Long Range Outdoor Wireless Intercoms

You can also get commercial-grade wireless call boxes that communicate with two way radios and base station intercoms. These wirelesscallboxes are water resistant and designed for outdoor use. They can open gates or doors remotely if you have a model with a gate relay. Callboxes also like vandal-proof housings with stainless steel front panels. The range on these is up to a mile or more if you use an external antenna. These wireless call boxes can be battery powered, powered with an AC-DC converter, or by solar power. Callboxes are available in UHF and VHF frequencies so you can match them with your existing two way radios if you have them. You can get call boxes that work in the a-licensed MURS frequencies so you can use them with your MURS intercoms or radios.

The benefit of a wireless callbox is that you save money by not having to do trenching and running expensive cable to the unit. You also don't have topay any air-time or telephone service fees with these wireless systems. Another benefit is that since the unit is wireless, people monitoring the units can carry handheld radios that communicate with the callbox. That allows your people to be mobile monitoring.

Wireless Intercom Features

Another thing to consider is what features you need for your particular application. Commercial applications often have needs for a wider variety of features. The MURS wireless system for instance has a wide variety of products that can be used with it. Not only can you get military-grade two-way radios with lots of headset options, but you can get the base station intercoms, wireless call boxes with solar power option, wireless public address systems, customer service call boxes, wirelessremote switches, and motion detector devices. For less commercial or residential use, to 900 MHz outdoor intercoms intercom system has and doorbell intercoms you can use with your indoor intercoms.

I know the wireless intercom system you choose depends on the application you have, the wireless devices already in your home or business, the range you need to cover, as well as your budget. But, once you choose the right system, you'll be able to enjoy the convenience to wireless intercom system provides for years to come.

Plastic Forming-Vacuum Forming Guide

Plastic Forming-Vacuum Forming Guide

What is vacuum forming? What does it do? What are the methods used in forming vacuums? Vacuum forming is basically the procedures used in shaping any kind of plastic. Majority of the vacuum forming products are affordable, since not many manufactures vacuum forming products. The moulds could be made of low-costing materials and the process of the vacuum forming could be possibly faster than any forming process.

Plastic Forming-Vacuum Forming Guide

Plastic Forming-Vacuum Forming Guide

-The most common product made using vacuumforming is a simple plastic toy

-All of the process used includes three important stages. Heating and cooling, shaping.

-There are factors that would be vital in the process selection of the vacuum forming.

-Quantities of the product

-Material of the product

-Shape and details of the product

-Final product's shape and size

1. Clamping process

The clamp or the fastener gives security to the materials being processed. Vacuum forming By using this method, you could process even the thickest materials. It is important that the frame of the clamps is strong for the materials not to move during the whole vacuum forming process.

2. Heating process

This vacuum forming method makes use of infra-red heaters and aluminum plates.Although this kind of process is usually handles by larger machines, it could former thicker plastics rapidly. The heaters are located both above the aluminum plates and below it, to produce quality outcomes.

3. Bubble

When the plastic material is inside the machine and it has reached the temperature needed for it to form pre-this method stretches the plastic to give a smoother outcome product. The bubble method is important because it could assure that unusual shaping materials with extraordinary angles could be reached by the heat.

4. Sheet level

This method involves an electric beam inside the machine that inspects the plastic material and the bottom heater. This method is used when the plastic starts to sag. When the plastic sags, the beam would automaticallybreak down and a quantity of air would enter the machine causing the sagginess to stop.

6. Vacuum

This vacuum forming method pre-stretches the plastic material. The vacuum serves as assistance in the forming of quality sheets. There are two vital parts in a vacuum-the vacuum tank and the vacuum pump. These two parts enable the machine to rapidly mold the hot sheets.

Once the materials have been shaped and formed, cooling procedure is done before releasing the plastic.

-Cooling is important because when the materials are released, the molds would become deformed and would cause a rejected outcome

-High speed fans are made use to fasten the cooling process. There is also an option in using s spray mist which is directed into the product sheet

-WhencooLED, it is inserted again into the machine to perform a reverse pressure method that strips excess product from the mould

How to Remove Sour Milk Smell

How to Remove Sour Milk Smell

The odor of spoiLED milk is traditionally very difficult to remove. Fortunately, there are some relatively simple and inexpensive solutions. The sooner you clean the smelly spot, the greater your chances of restoring a fresh scent to your room, house, refrigerator and house-on-wheels.

How to Remove Sour Milk Smell

How to Remove Sour Milk Smell

How to Remove Sour Milk Smell

How to Remove Sour Milk Smell

How to Remove Sour Milk Smell

Aside from that, the smell of spoiLED milk can be quite hard to remove on your clothes, especially your baby's clothes, since babies have frequent access to milk and are most likely to spill milk on their clothes.

Baby clothes can be expensive and the kids grow out of them before they can possibly wear them. Often these adorable little outfits are passed on to another child; however, even though they are in good shape, they still have that telltale odor of spoiled milk that is almostimpossible to get rid of. As always, there are ways around this dilemma.

Sour Milk Smell Removal

Avoid spilling milk if you can. Also, do not cry over the spilled milk if you indeed spilled it anyway. Do something about it instead.

* To remove stale milk smells, you first need to remove all the stale milk spilled. Use warm soapy water and perhaps some washing up liquid and clean up the affected area thoroughly first.

* After the mess has been cleared up, soak the area with white vinegar and mop up with paper towels. Put up with vinegary smell for about a week and after that, not a sign of vinegar smell or that horrible milk odor will remain.

* You can use an air freshener in the affected car to ensure a pleasant smell. Just try to let it dry for as long aspossible. Soon, the milk smell will have disappeared from your surroundings.

* Use a commercial leather cleaner and odor eliminator on the leather upholstery of your car. Your dealer may carry these products. Allow the area to dry completely: residual moisture can cause mildew. Use a hair dryer or fan if necessary, being careful not to scorch carpet fibers with the hair dryer.

* You can also pour baking soda over the area where milk is spilled. Sprinkle some cold water on top of the baking soda and let it stand overnight. You can vacuum it the next day to remove the residue. If the smell still remains, you can try treating it with an enzyme odor remover.

* Take a bottle of club soda, stick your finger inside and shake to get a fizz going. With your finger stillin bottle, spray on the stinky milk stain. Get it wet but not soaking. The smell might be worse at first but that it will go away as the whole thing dries unlike the untreated milk odor, which will only worsen as time passes by.

* You can also use brake cleaner if you're really desperate, but use it moderately and only on carpets, rugs or hard surfaces. Just put a small dab on a clean cloth, blot the stain and rinse the milk with soap and water.

If it's baby clothes that are affected by the milk stench, then you could do the following: Fill the washing machine with hot water. Fill it at least high enough for a medium load. Add a cup of laundry detergent with one cup of dish washing detergent. Run the machine for a few minutes to mix the combination well. Turn the washingmachine off.

Put the smelly baby clothes in the solution in the machine and leave them there. Let them soak overnight in the solution. Then, In the morning turn the washing machine on and let the clothes run through a full cycle. Add a tablespoon of vinegar to the rinse cycle. Vinegar is the choice product for general bad odor removal.

Finally, add a second rinse cycle to make certain that all the detergent residue gets washed out of the clothes. The baby's clothes, as well as your clothes, if you've tried this method on those as well, will be smelling fresh and clean by the end of the process so be proud of your work.

Every state, city, and village either has odor ordinances or treats obnoxious odors perceptible beyond property lines as public disturbances/nuisance. All plumbing vent stacks produce odors unless they fitted with a filter. OSHA warns that levels of 300-ppm (H2S) cause the olfactory nerve to lose sensitivity. At first a "rotten egg" odor is detected but on the second or third breath the odor is no longer noticed. All major odor problems have associated fines or other penalties.

When you are experiencing sewer or septic smells inside a home or business not near a plumbing fixture these odors are most likely coming from your sewer vent stacks on your roof. All plumbing vent stacks produce odors including that "rotten egg" smell caused by hydrogen sulfide gas unless theyare fitted with a filter. One of the most common problems is the sewer gas (H2S) is drawn into the fresh air intakes on the roof from the air conditioning systems. On roofs industrial buildings code also require fresh air intake for building air balance against all the stale air exhausted through roof vents. The potential problem can be identified through basic smell of odor when on the roof or around the perimeter of the building as hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas is heavier than air and thus falls to "nose level" quickly "when the wind blows just right. A professional can use a H2S measuring device to detect and measure sewer gas concentration being omitted from specific roof vent stacks. The vents omitting gas is a natural occurrence on most homes and buildings because that's the waythey are designed.

Raising the roof vent stacks does not solve the problem it only displaces it on a windy day to blow over the exterior wall to open windows, the patio, the fireplace, the garden, pool area, sidewalk, driveway, front door, or parking lot. On a non-wind day sewer gas is heavier than air and will settle on roof and causes intermittent sewer odors in the home or building.

Installing a One way valve on the ssz stacks will reduce the sewer gas that vents to the roof through the opening and closing of the valve. The Mechanical Engineers design the sewer venting system for it to be a sealed system in the home or business but unrestricted venting to the atmosphere. This type of system defeats the original design intent for all building designs. The system operates ondemand of actions in the home or business such as the flush of a toilet or turning on a sink. Since this type of system is capping the vent stacks, it is pressurizing the sewer system in the home or business. It is creating more of a potential for sewer gas odor problems. Any type of bad seals or gaskets that plumbing that may have a small leak will cause the problem to Tristeza y conmoción …. The vent is now mechanically opened and closed by a valve. It can fail in open position too. This introduces sewer gas to the roof, when it fails.

Charcoal vent stack filters on the ssz stacks is one odour filters on the market but is less effective when introduced to moisture which causes it to solidify or cake up. Gas from the Sewer vent stacks is extremely high with moisture since the systemsprimary function is to drain water in a sealed system underground away from the building. In my opinion this product is not the right product for this application.

I recommend for homes odor eliminator vent stack filters that use Zeocarbon. Zeocarbon is a mixture of carbon and zeolite rock, which has been independently demonstrated to work up to 7 times longer than regular carbon alone. Vent stack filters using this technology are unique in that they actually regenerate themselves for up to 5 years. These systems use sunlight. The exterior, interior, and zeocarbon replaceable bags themselves are impregnated with titanium dioxide (approximately the same quantity and type in most popular toothpastes on the market). When exposed to direct sunlight the titanium dioxideproduces ozone, which directly destroys odors and regenerates the zeocarbon. When combined with "no flow periods" common to most households, this design allow us to operate up to 5 years without refilling the units. Many units completely block any UV sunlight regenerative though the use of opaque rain caps and guards that promote the development of odor producing bacteria. However because the zeocarbon can only absorb so much gas, this type filter is designed with a low cost, easily replaceable insert bags. Another good thing on this type filter is the restriction on the airflow is so slight (it has a pressure differential measured at only 1.5 "w.g./ft @ 50 fpm) that it does not interfere with normal venting of the plumbing system. This filter type is made with animal resistantself-cleaning screens coupled with the frost proof insulating solar heat absorption design characteristics, protects the vent stack from plugging in all seasons.

The filter not only traps zeocarbon sewer gases at the roof vent, so they cannot escape into the air at all, but it also means less air pollution from GREENHOUSE GASES. It particularly ammonia, carbon dioxide traps (global warming) and hydrogen sulfide (the rotten-egg smelling gas), which the filter traps on an 18-24% wt/wt basis, and used zeocarbon acts as an excellent source of nitrogen when mixed with soil. Even though the filter is installed directly on the vent pipe, it's frost proof design is such that it not only does not obstruct air being drawn into the vent, it prevent hoar frost plugging and keeps out insects andcritters. This filter is also for vents that are directly connected to aerated or non aerated septic tanks, septic drain fields, mounds, landfill, compost vents vents, etc. In many instances, city sewer connections bring gas into the home's plumbing vents which vent the gases out the roof vent and often down into the back yard where they can be drawn into the home. This type filter has proven beneficial in those cases too!

I recommend for mobile homes, restaurants, daycare centers, nursing homes, and schools, odor eliminator vent stack filters that filter the harmful sewer odors by oxidation. Oxidation with chlorine dioxide is accomplished technology. Because chlorine dioxide reacts selectively and primarily with only the most offensive odor producing compounds (hydrogensulfide, organic sulfurs, organic amines) the Odor Eliminators will normally provide a much longer service life than products such as activated carbon. With a properly designed filter that allows the original design of the system plumbing system to function does not forward hatch the lines like some of the other products on the market. Moisture does not have a negative effect on the Eliminator therefore unwanted reactions do not occur and power is not chlorine dioxide needlessly spent allowing to be available and ready on demand. The result is safe, extremely effective, broad-spectrum malodor control. Chlorine dioxide remains available and ready on demand.

Polishing is accomplished with technology that protects against the escape of malodors can not be oxidized. Enincorporates polymeric adsorption and electrostatic bonding technologies. Polishing and oxidizing are accomplished simultaneously. The result is safe (utilizing the same material approved for Food storage by the USDA), extremely effective, broad-spectrum malodor control. (Request Form No. 502 from USDA for more detailed information.)

After you have installed roof vent stack filters, inside odors are most likely coming from leaking wax seals or gaskets on your plumbing fixtures. In this case the odor is typically concentrated in an isolated area, the bathrooms. It can be intermittent due to several building mechanical system designs. Bathroom fixtures have a p-trap built-in the fixture so if the fixture becomes loose from the floor or the wall the wax seal or gasket can leak. Thistype of leak will allow sewer gas to leak directly into the room. Most bathrooms have an exhaust fan which intensifies the introduction of the gas into the room by pulling the gas from the source, the leaking seal at the floor moving it to the ceiling exhaust vent prior to exhausting the gas from the space. This condition is detected through smell or a professional can use a H2S measuring device to detect and measure sewer gas concentration. The remedy for this problem is to replace the bad fixture seals. Contact your preventive maintenance group or to arrange for a local technician help with this problem.

Bathroom odors can also be traced to urine absorption into the tile or tile grout.
Many businesses try to mask the odor by installing a mister deodorizer in the bathroom toscented sprays to mask the product to odors in bathrooms. With proper maintenance of fixtures in the bathrooms and the correct initial designed systems operating correctly this problem should be eliminated. If this condition is corrected overtime it can worsen and affect other parts of the business.

Odor and constant smell can be due to the build up of urine saturating tile grout and tile grout around urinals. There are spray products that eliminates this problem by using it on a regular maintenance program.

When you have floor sinks, drains and floor/wall clean outs dry of water especially in basements of homes and businesses in the production or mechanical areas you will often detect an offensive odor. A dried out p-traps allows the sewer system to vent freely into thespace. In the case of a restaurant or any building with an exhaust system that may be in a negative air balance the problem is intensified. The exhaust system can draw the sewer gases into the facility. The affect on an isolated area is not uncommon or if it is near to return on the HVAC system circulate it through out the building. The most efficient way to identify if you have this problem is to do a smoke test on the sewer system. Prior to doing the smoke tests we would first recommend verifying all floor drains and sinks have water in the p-traps. This would include the units in isolated rooms such as the mechanical areas and the units installed behind or under equipment. The wall clean outs can be visually creamed but are difficult to detect leakage without a H2S meter or a smoke test. The dried out p-traps when identified can be fixed by adding water to fill the p-trap. Contact your preventive maintenance group to help with this problem.

To fix floor drains and floor sinks add water to the traps on a regular basis or add a trap primer to the system.

To fix floor and wall clean outs check for bad seals in a random fashion. Replace where worn.

Memory foam mattresses actually contain chemicals. These chemicals emit a certain kind of odor when it is still brand new. To some, this is mildly irritating. But to most of us, it causes worries. Continuous inhalation of these toxic chemicals might endanger our health.

Here are some tips to help you get rid of the initial odour memory foam:

Tip 1: Do not rip off the plastic cover of the mattress yet. Cut one end of the plasticcover and then pull the mattress. Once it is exposed, sprinkle baking soda on all its sides. Baking soda is a smell eliminator. En Pneumonitis all kinds of smell, even moldy and musty smell. Once you have sprinkled it all over your mattress, cover it again with the plastic wrap to insulate the baking soda. Leave it on over night. Vacuum it off the next morning.

Tip 2: Put the mattress in a sunny and airy room. Open the windows in the room to allow air to circulate inside. You can also put pieces of charcoal on a container and put it on top of the mattress. Blast the mattress with air from an electric fan. Charcoal helps in absorbing bad odour.

Tip 3: If you do not have a spare mattress and you need to use your new memory foam bed immediately, then put a thick bed sheet.Wash the bed sheets every other day. It will help absorb the smell and the smell will cling to your sheets. When washing, put fabric softener in your machine.

Tip 4: Purchase odor absorbing products. There are those odor absorbing products sold in the cleaning isle of the grocery store. Some are in the form of scented glass containers while others can be plugged in for 24-hour room freshness. They might cost a lot of money so your alternative is to make a room freshener made from lemon peel. Put it in a cold aluminium container in the room you are putting your mattress.

You do not have to suffer the initial smell of memory foam mattress. With these tips, you can sleep soundly and quietly.

Basic Preventative Maintenance CNC Program and Best practices

Basic Preventative Maintenance CNC Program and Best practices

Its amazing how little preventative maintenance is ever performed within the majority of manufacturing companies today. I am often asked by Maintenance personnel on how other companies take care of there CNC equipment. What's my answer? This is typical if its not broke don't fix it.

Basic Preventative Maintenance CNC Program and Best practices

What I have outlined below is how you can set up a preventive maintenance program based on little knowLEDge of CNC and maintenance and minimal amount of downtime by covering the most basic and important parts of a PM program. The items below will save you the most money down and prevent a future breakdown.

Minimum Basic preventative maintenance program CNC

1. Check your oil levels--machine turret, B-axis, ATC & magazine gear boxes, spindle gear box, hydraulics. If you have aleak-fix it. You are contaminating your coolant, reducing your tool life and putting more contaminants into the oil system every time you fill the tank.

2. Clean chips out of every corner of the machine.

3. Pull back the waycovers and clean out the troughs in the ballscrew area and allow coolant to drain properly and avoid flooding into your bearing housings.

4. Check for lube on your box way machines. There should be a line from the wiper every time you reverse the axis on the leading edge.

5. Check the clamp force of the spindles every 3 months-this is a 15 second check. This check is so important:-you could save a spindle, increase tool life and part quality.

6. Check your pallet change alignment and operation if equipped. The last thing you want to dois throw a fixture in a machine. Also clean chips from under the pallets and B-axis

7. Perform a basic inspection of cables, hoses and electrical fans on the outside and inside of electrical cabinets. Do not forget to check the drive computer fans or fans as well.

8. Clean & replace any filters as necessary.

9. Check your CNC tool change alignment. Maybe not the easiest for a novice but at least look at it for something obvious. Fix any CNC machines that are dropping tools on occasion. There is a reason! Do not let it go. Damages to waycovers, ATC cam followers and gear boxes, tool fingers, and spindle damage will occur.

How to Get Rid of Phlegm

How to Get Rid of Phlegm

You might want to hold off with that wish. Phlegm is actually good for you. Well, not the thing itself, but what it represents. Phlegm is mucous that becomes congealed and visible. It's almost always a sign of your body fighting off whatever infection is wreaking havoc on your respiratory system - which is actually a good thing. Phlegm is primarily composed of mucous, dead bacteria and virus, dead white blood cells, and various tissues and cells. The difference between phlegm and other mucous is that phlegm comes from your lungs, not from your nasal passages.

How to Get Rid of Phlegm

In around 400 B.C. it was thought that phlegm was part of the four humours, the four basic substances that were supposed to comprise the human body. The other three humours were black bile, bile, and blood, and when they were balanced, the body would achieve harmony and would thus be healthy. A lack or excess of any of the humours resulted in diseases or disabilities. It was the ancient Greek philosopher Hippocrates (Hippocratic Oath of the fame) who is credited for coming up with this theory. For 2.000 years, it influenced medical thinking until it was discredited in the 1800s.

While phlegm is an indication that your body's immune system is working overtime to get rid of those nasty invaders that are trying to make you sick, coughing up phlegm every few minutes is still a rather unpleasant practice. Here are several things you can do to get rid of the phlegm quicker so you won't have to find yourself in potentially embarrassing and totally awkward situations.

Phlegm Elimination

Ifyou're a smoker, cut the habit. Everyone knows that smoking aggravates and promotes several lung and bronchial problems. As if body infections are not enough, respiratory diseases caused by smoking will give your body additional health issue baggage it does not need. Smoking interferes with your body's ability to fight off any infection, so whatever problems it is currently engaged in that resulted in the formation of mucous will be prolonged. Thus, your phlegm problem will drag on longer. Smoking also kills the cilia that line your lungs, making it harder for you to cough out phlegm. If you've been coughing up brown or gray-colored phlegm, it means that your body is screaming for you to lay off the cigarettes. It would do you well to cut out the filthy habit before those browns and graysbecome speckled with red-a sure precursor to something serious, like lung cancer.

Treat any nasal or sinus infection that you have. As mentioned earlier, phlegm is just an accumulation of mucous and other dead substances that coagulated and become visible. Mucous isn't a foreign object-your body's airways produce mucous regularly. These mucus secretions don't accumulate because they're regularly cleared to your throat where they are carried down by the saliva. If you have an infection that blocks normal passage to the airways and throat, the mucus doesn't get drained down by the saliva and thus accumulates. Fixing the infection will help fix the additional congestion, easing the accumulation of mucus and phlegm.

Take an expectorant. Expectorants are medicines you can taketo clear and loosen up any mucus and phlegm in your respiratory tract. They work by thinning out the mucus so you will be able to easily dislodge it when you cough. Common expectorant medicines are those that contain guaifenesin and bromhexine, so when buying expectorants, be sure to check if these ingredients are present. As with buying any medicine over the counter, be sure to consult with your physician first, just in case you might be subject to complications because of them.

Don't take cough suppressants. Sure, it is pretty annoying when you have a hacking cough every five minutes, causing you to spit out phlegm at pretty much the same rate, but coughing is your body's way of trying to dislodge the phlegm. If you're taking cough suppressants or anything that inhibits yourability to cough, you're essentially allowing the production and build-up of mucus and phlegm in your system since you've basically shut down your body's mechanism to expel them. The sooner you get all the phlegm out of your system, the sooner your coughing will stop, and the sooner you will find relief.

Drink plenty of fluids and liquids. Plenty of liquids and fluids help loosen up any hard, sticky phlegm that is congesting your system. Fluids also help wash down mucus that is regularly deposited on your throat, thereby lessening their chances of building up and coagulating. There are also herbal teas and drinks that help you deal with respiratory problems, and the fewer complications you have, the better your chances of getting rid of respiratory disease effects – mucus and phlegmincluded.

Spit the phlegm out; don't swallow it. Among the many components that make up phlegm are substances like immunoglobulins and glycoproteins that help your body fight off the infection. When these substances get killed (together with the bacteria and virus they were fighting), they become part of what makes up phlegm. When phlegm gets coughed out, it means that they have served their purpose - remnants and refuse of the battle, so to speak - and are no longer necessary in the proper functioning of the body. They have to be expelled. Therefore, spit them out and don't swallow them back. Aside from the fact that swallowing phlegm is gross and unsanitary, it sometimes gets reintroduced to your pulmonary system, worsening your situation.

There are also home brew remedies you can try that will help in getting rid of your phlegm. Eucalyptus oil mixed with boiling water is a good way to decongest your chest and lessen the abundance of phlegm in your respiratory system. Two to three drops of the oil in boiling water should be enough to do the trick. Hold a towel over your head and deeply breathe in the steam. This will help clear out congested passageways of your respiratory tract, allowing you to spit out the phlegm more easily. Garlic is also said to have expectorant properties, and is considered to be a good supplement for treating congestion.

When your phlegm starts showing up in different colors, it's about time to have yourself checked by a physician. Take a sample of your phlegm for analysis. Different colors usually indicate an underlyingcondition. Normal phlegm is usually clear and white. Yellow phlegm means that your immune system is functioning properly and is responding to something. Greenish phlegm means that there is definitely an infection in your body. Rusty spots in green phlegm are often an indication of something serious, like internal respiratory micro-bleeding or pneumonia. Brownish phlegm can be a sign of infection, as well as symptoms of too much smoking, as resin is sticking to the phlegm. When this happens, it is always advisable to limit or just stop your smoking habit, as it may be exacerbating whatever respiratory condition you may have.
